My client is a 500 year old coach house, formally a court house and town prison, home to the most dastardly criminals and highwaymen in the area.
Now however it offers a warm and welcoming traditional charm to locals and guests passing through, whether they are dinning from the fine and varied menu, staying over in one of the 9 elegant rooms available or simple sampling a selection of their real ales or fine wines.
They require an experienced Second Chef who can demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to always provide the best experience for our customers.
You will ideally have some supervisory skills and will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a kitchen and the team in the absence of the Head Chef.
As a Second Chef of this exciting operation you will need:
- Excellent people skills and be able to train
- Passion about food and customer service
- Superb culinary skills
- High standards and be quality driven
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Be a role model and a great team player
- Have a 'Can do' attitude
- Ideally have experience in a supervisory role
Flexibility regarding working days and hours is a key requirement.
Please note that this is not a live-in position and you will need your own transport to get to the pub as there are no public transport links.
